As always these were recorded on the olympus ls100 and mixed on the mac.
Not a whole lot of mixing as of yet as all of these are just rough draft recordings.
I'd love to hear from anyone with thoughts.
Thanks.
sounds awesome as usual sir. it makes me more eager to buy an ls100, wish its abailable here in my country.
btw, is it possible for you to record the drums in sterio too? like for instansthe crash cymbals in left, and the ride in right side?
pardon my spelling please. thanks
Oh man, I dig the George Jones cover. I've always loved that song.
Good work, man. These sound pretty damn good for board mixes. Keep em coming.
Rusty, Not as of yet, I only mic the drums with two microphones, IE one down on the kick, and another over the snare ETC. Also, I'm usually sending them through a mixer and then line in to the ls100 to attempt to get some EQ on the drums. Maybe next time, I'll atempt to track them individually, but since I'm not much of a drummer it's not my thing. I'm much more comfortable micking a guitar or an amp.
At post 3, thanks, I love the jones tune too so figured why not rock it out!. I used a vg strat and modeled both drop d and baritone tuning to make that one. My taylor gs7 was in the shop getting set up, so I actually used my wife's taylor GS mini to record the acoustic tracks.
